Team Registration is now closed.
TEAM CAPTAIN – CREATE YOUR TEAM REGISTRATION
1. To create a team online, click the "Register Now!" button above. (creating a team designates you as team captain).
2. Click the
green button labeled “Register Now” on the next screen.
3. Select your
5K Run/Walk Team Registration age
category. Then click the pink “Continue” button at the bottom of the page.
4. If you
registered for the Komen Detroit Race through the Active system in the past,
you have an account. Enter your email address and click “Next”. Then enter your
password and click “Login”. If you forgot your password, click the “Forgot
password” link below. If you do
not have an Active account, you will complete your Race registration and creation of your new Active account on the payment page.

- Team Captains
must choose “Create a team” in the Team Information section below
6. Under Team
information, select “Create a team”.
7. Answer all
8. In the
“Giving/Fundraise” section, you will create a fundraising page through “CrowdRise”.
Under “Fundraise”, select “Become a
“Additional purchases” answer the $2.60 donation and Packet Mailing Option
10. Check the box to agree to “Active Agreement and Waiver”, “Race for the Cure Release and Waiver” and “2017
11. Enter your
name in the Electronic signature. Click the pink “Continue” button.
12. Create your
“CrowdRise” fundraising page. Your team name will autofill. Enter your fundraising goal and select your privacy setting (public=anyone
can search for your page, private=only you can see your team donation page). This step is creating your Team Donation Page,
so be sure to enter your proper team name in “Fundraiser Title”. Listed as the designated charity, the Barbara
Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute has fiduciary responsibility as the local presenting sponsor of the Susan G. Komen Detroit Race for the Cure®.
13. On the
payment screen, enter your payment information and click “Complete” at the
bottom of the page. This completes your registration.
14. After completing your online registration, you will receive the following three emails:
- Email Confirmation from Susan G. Komen Detroit
confirming your registration was successful – keep this for your records.
Confirmation from Active with your registration receipt.
Confirmation from CrowdRise with link to customize your donation page.

TEAM MEMBER REGISTRATION
Follow steps 1-5 and then the following:
information (step 6 above), select “Join a team”
and select your team from the list below or enter the team name in the box.
“Giving/Fundraise” section (step 8 above), you will be creating a fundraising page through “CrowdRise”.
Under “Fundraise”, select “Fundraising for existing team” and then select your
team you are registering for.
Online Registration “PAY LATER” Option – Companies or organizations paying their members registrations with one payment can set up a “Pay Later” option, eliminating the payment requirement at time of online team member registration. Please click here for the 2017 Pay Later form. Allow two to three days for processing.
