Community Grant Process

2016 grants were awarded to four outstanding organizations that will continue to implement their breast cancer education, screening and treatment support programs to help fight breast cancer. The programs provide these services to medically underserved women and men from Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties.

 Applications are due July 1, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. Awards will be announced in September 2017.

Komen Detroit community health grants are awarded on the basis of adherence to priorities as listed in the Community Profile, which defines the extent of the breast cancer burden, services, and gaps in the coverage area for the Komen Detroit Race for the Cure® (Macomb, Oakland and Wayne counties). Grant period is applicable to all grantees unless grantee has an approved amendment.
